*The HEPNet Youth Protection 101 session will cover where to start with youth protection - covering the policy life cycle, background checks, training, and much more. This is a must-attend for those new in the field or position or for those wanting to learn more about mitigating the risk of minors on campus and related properties.  This deep dive will include how to keep kids safe and reduce liability on your campus and related properties, the importance of compliance registration systems and how they help to pull the pieces of your policy together, ins and outs of background checks and the difference between types of checks, best practices regarding staff training, and different ways to monitor your programs for compliance, as well as a panel discussion of experts in the field. The 202 session is next level, geared towards those that have a policy in place but are still fairly new to the field.
